Six robbers armed with knives and sickle boarded a bulk carrier underway. They entered the engine room, took the chief engineer hostage and tied his hands and feet. Before escaping, the robbers stole the ship’s properties. The chief engineer freed himself and raised the alarm. Incident reported to VTS. Singapore Coast Guard escorted the ship to a safe anchorage and boarded for investigations.
