Duty AB on board an anchored tanker spotted two robbers armed with knives on the poop deck and immediately informed the OOW. Alarm raised, PA announcement made and crew mastered. Hearing the alarm and seeing the crew alertness, the robbers escaped without stealing anything. Incident reported to port authorities and the local agents.
