Three robbers in a wooden boat with an outboard engine approached and boarded an anchored bulk carrier using a hook attached to a rope. Duty lookout noticed the robbers, raised the alarm and crew mustered. OOW sounded the ships whistle and notified the Port Authorities. Seeing the crew alertness, the robbers escaped with stolen ships stores.
