The managers of an anchored product tanker informed the IMB that they had lost communications with their vessel. The IMB notified the Nigerian and Benin navies. On 16 January 2018, the managers reported that the vessel and its crew were safe and in Lagos, Nigeria where the Authorities were investigating the incident.
