16.10.2022: 1705 UTC: Posn: 01:09.20N – 103:27.24E, Singapore Straits.
Three robbers armed with knives boarded a bulk carrier underway and entered the engine room. The robbers were spotted by the duty watchman who immediately informed the bridge. General alarm raised, PA announcement made, and crew mustered. Upon hearing the alarm, the robbers escaped with stolen engine spares. Incident reported to the Singapore VTS. Marine Police boarded the vessel for investigation.
