Three persons armed with a long knife boarded a bulk carrier as she approached the anchorage area. Duty watchkeeper on routine rounds noticed the persons attempting to board and immediately informed the bridge. General alarm sounded and the watchkeeper shouted at the persons, resulting in them escaping without stealing anything. Incident reported to the Tanjung Priok VTS. Port police boarded the vessel to investigate. Vessel and crew safe.
