Three robbers armed with long knives boarded a bulk carrier underway. Duty oiler on routine rounds noticed the robbers and informed the C/E. Alarm raised, PA announcement made, and crew mustered. Hearing the alarm, the robbers escaped with the stolen ship’s property. VTIS informed. A navy patrol boat escorted the ship to the anchorage area.
