More than 100 delegates attended the FraudNet conference in Dublin on fraud and asset recovery on 28th September. Held at the Conrad Hotel, the programme covered hot topics in fraud and asset recovery, the use of insolvency regimes to combat fraud and the use of third party litigation funding in complex cross-border litigation (PowerPoint presentations soon available to download on our Publications pages, together with 170 other publications on fraud-related topics). The Irish Independent, which is the biggest selling newspaper in Ireland, covered the event (see the article here), and sponsors included Grant Thornton, PwC, Alix Partners and Andrews International. FraudNet has also announced the appointment of ||Matt Lindsay||, of ||Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Calgary||, as its new Executive Director to follow ||Joseph J. Wielebinski||, of ||Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr P.C., Dallas||, who has stepped down from this role after three years of distinguished service. The network will hold its next conference in Oslo on 26th April 2013 (please see our Conferences pages for updates).
